A palmer (pilgrim) begs a cup from a maid who is washing at the
well, so that he could drink from it. She says she has none.
He says that she would have, if her lover came. She swears
she has never had a lover. He says that she has borne nine
babies (or in different versions, other numbers such as seven
or five) and tells her where she buried the bodies. She begs
some penance from him. He tells her that she will be
transformed into a stepping-stone for seven years, a
bell-clapper for seven, and spend seven years in hell.
In some variants, the children were incestously conceived.

L'INVITE SURPRISE

Je viens de la côte ouest de Clare en Irlande et je vis dans la belle région du Beaujolais en France avec ma famille. Je suis musicien professionnel depuis plus de 15 ans maintenant, ayant travaillé comme régisseur au théâtre 20 ans auparavant.
Bienvenue dans le monde mystique druidique de Gangani avec l'acteur-chanteur-musicien et barde…Davóg Rynne.…des histoires, des poèmes, des chansons qui parlent du passé, des leçons apprises… ou pas… des préoccupations de l'environnement et des injustices humaines d'aujourd'hui et d'hier sonnent tout au long du spectacle avec des perspectives très humaines, beaucoup d'entre elles s'inspirant des propres expériences des artistes.
Gangani est depuis devenu un spectacle de théâtre, utilisant une partie de la poésie de l'album entre autres et bien sûr avec beaucoup de musique et de chanson. Gangani a été créé au Festival du Rencontres à Theizé en juin 2019 et a participé au Festival Cri du Col en août 2019. Gangani a été accepté comme "Artiste en résidence" avec la compagnie de théâtre réputée Théâtre de l'unité à Montbéliard France en septembre 2019. Il a fait une tournée de Gangani en Belgique, en Hollande et en Suisse avant l'arrivée du Covid et a depuis pris une multitude de cours de bien-être pour se diversifier et s'adapter à la situation actuelle. 2020 s'est avérée être une année extrêmement difficile pour tout le monde et dans tous les domaines de la vie…
ma politique est l'amour et la gentillesse l'emporte sur tout...
